HENSEK Hails Gov. Emmanuel Over S’Court Victory

Emmanuel Udom & Wife, MarthaA front-line businessman and Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Company, an outstanding indigenous construction company that has undertaken key projects across Akwa Ibom State and the Niger Delta region, Engr. Uwem Okoko, has hailed the Supreme Court for validating the Governorship of Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the authentic Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

Engr. Okoko said that the victory put paid to all the cynicism of detractors, whose stock in trade was to derail the Governor from his focus of providing superior programmes and development for the people of the State.

He said with the victory, the business community and the entire people of the State can now heave a sigh of relief as the State would witness unparalleled development.

Speaking during the interdenominational Thanksgiving Service held at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Engr. Okoko said “Akwa Ibom people have more than enough reasons to celebrate the obvious victory at the Supreme Court.”

Engr. Okoko, whose company is also at the forefront of youth empowerment through employment, skills acquisition trainings and sports development, lauded the zeal of Governor Emmanuel who soon after his inauguration hit the ground running with several ground breaking projects, which would stimulate the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and create employment to the teeming youths of the State.

On the proposed jetty at Ikot Abasi, the Hensek boss said that the jetty, when constructed, would bring about several complimentary industries and aid in the haulage of petroleum products as well as reduce traffic from other seaports.

This, according to him, would attract other subsidiary firms in the downstream sector of the economy.

He said for the vision to consider the coastlines in his development drive, especially the Deep Seaport Project, signals that Akwa Ibom State would become the next Singapore of Africa and called on the people to sheathe their sword rivalry and join hands for the progress and development of Akwa Ibom State.

On the recent publication in some of the local tabloids crediting him as saying “Udom Has Not Done Anything For Ikot Abasi,” Engr. Okoko said “the time is too early for such insinuations. I am one of the beneficiaries in the development matrix of the Udom Emmanuel administration.”

He described the publications as the handiwork of a few disgruntled elements in Ikot Abasi whose duty and delight is to play the fifth column rather than contribute their quota to the wellbeing of the society, they chose to heat up the polity.

“I have never said a thing like that and will never. I have seen privileged to know that Governor Udom Emmanuel has a lot in the kitty for Ikot Abasi. I therefore call on the perpetrators to refrain from this hatchet job. They should embrace this present administration and move Akwa Ibom State to the next development level.”
