Guinness Nigeria Plc. is in hot soup. The company is fined N1 billion by NAFDAC and the money must be paid within two weeks. Now, the million dollar question is how did Guinness ran into trouble?

NAFDAC accused Guinness of revalidating expired products without authorization and supervision by NAFDAC and exposing its raw materials used for making beer and their other products to rodents. NAFDAC added that Guinness has a poor documentation record and doesn’t comply with conditions contained in the certificate of validation of the revalidated malt extract which required the storage of the items in cool and dry place.
