Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has relieved Mr. Bathuel Harrison of his duty as the Commissioner for Works with immediate effect.

In a statement by Governor Nyesom Wike’s media aide on electronics, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, he disclosed that: “Rivers State governor has relieved the state Commissioner for Works, Mr. Bathuel Harrison of his appointment with immediate effect. The former commissioner has been directed to hand over to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works.”

Besides, Mr. Bathuel Harrison appears to be the second Commissioner for Works to have been sacked by Wike since he came on board as the governor of Rivers State.
