Governor Siminalaye Fubara of Rivers State is in big trouble.

Information reaching us right now has it that the State Assembly has reportedly served an impeachment notice on him.

Sources said members of the assembly had a session on Monday, October 30th, 2023 presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule and those loyal to the governor were suspended.

Sources alleged that the explosion that occurred in the Assembly on Sunday night was a ploy to stop the lawmakers from gaining access to the Assembly on Monday.

We gathered that some lawmakers made their way into the House as early as 7a.m and commenced plenary where the majority signed the impeachment notice on the governor.
