Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna State recently wept on meeting Master Sàdiq Usman, the five years old boy whose two eyes were plucked by ritualists in Zaria last year.

The governor was moved with empathy at the sight of little Sadiq as tears rolled on his face uncontrollably as he was compelled to bring out a handkerchief to wipe his tears as he held the little boy on his laps.

For those who don’t know, boy Sadiq was rescued by Airtel Nigeria and is being trained and well taken care of by staff of the telecoms giant under Staff Volunteer Scheme. However, the little boy has been enrolled at the Ango Abdullahi International School.
