The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is in hot soup. The governor has been disowned by his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). The executive council of APC in Kogi State in a letter to the National Chairman of the Party revealed that the party doesn’t want to have anything to do with the governor anymore. They added that the governor has given appointments to 45 PDP members and none to APC and he’s equally responsible for the crisis rocking Kogi State House of Assembly.
“Henceforth, we will have nothing to do with the government of Gov. Yahaya Bello.”
“That a communiqué be issued from this meeting to the national secretariat, national leaders and the Presidency, making these observations known to them.
“That the state (APC) council should cry out for help to the national secretariat, national leaders and the presidency; that we should invite all our members in the state House of Assembly to intervene, with a view to uniting them; that we will henceforth have nothing to do with the government of Yahaya Bello.
“In view of the above, we plead to the national leaders and the Presidency to consider the state’s ministerial nominee from legacy party, so our party will not collapse.”
