Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has denied his involvement in the nefarious business of human organs trafficking leveled against him by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).
Dr. Philip Njemanze, Chairman of Private and General Medical Practitioners in Imo State has accused the governor of being a human organs trafficker. “For the first time in human history, a government has declared itself an organ trafficking cartel. Imo State Government is using state health facilities to facilitate human organs trafficking network. Foreign collaborators of Imo State Government from Turkey, Kosovo, Croatia and others are already in Imo State to perfect creation of the network. It is an international network with Governor Rochas Okorocha as its local head. A former Prime Minister of Kosovo is the head of the organs trafficking in Europe and he is a friend of the governor. Governor Okorocha’s recent trips to Turkey, Kosovo, Croatia, Latin American and Asian countries as well as the building of new 27 general hospitals in Imo State are testaments of the governor’s involvement in the business”.
But Sam Onwuemedo, Media Aide to the governor said it’s an old story and it’s being handled by the Department of State Security (DSS).
