These are not the best of times for Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State. The governor has been accused of using his personal friend, Barrister Femi Falana to scandalize Justice Folahanmi Oloyede, the Judge who wrote a petition to the Osun State House of Assembly to impeach the governor for incompetence and financial recklessness. Mr. Adeniyi Sulaiman revealed that Justice L.A.M Folami of Ikeja High Court, Lagos had since dissolved the marriage between Mrs. Emily Richard Obire and Mr. Richard Obire yet the governor got Femi Falana who is the lawyer to Mrs. Emily Richard Obire in divorce matter to petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) saying that Justice Folahanmi Oloyede snatched Mrs. Emily Richard Obire’s husband.

Mr. Sulaiman said the NJC is now being used by the governor as a Customary Court where marital issues are resolved. He added that since Mr. Richard Obire’s marriage has been dissolved by a competent court, he is free as a Nigerian to fall in love and marry another woman of his choice and if Justice Oloyede is his choice, there is no offence in that. Also, he said the governor should go and look for money and pay Osun State workers eight months salary instead of scandalizing Justice Oloyode.
