Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has declared war on his Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru who resigned on Friday 17th November, 2017.

Insiders squealed to us that the governor and his commissioners were dazed when Ashiru stormed the State Executive Council meeting on Friday 17th November, 2017 and resigned over his governorship ambition to succeed his boss.

We were told that Ashiru’s decision to join the gubernatorial race did not go down well with the governor who has declared his support for Ogun West person to succeed him in 2019.

Those in the know said that the governor practically disallowed Ashiru to ride with him in the lift at the Governor’s Office at the end of exco meeting.

Besides, Ashiru rebuffed every persuasion by his fellow commissioners to drop his guber ambition and boasted that as soon as he declares his governorship ambition, his supporters will raise about N2 billion for his campaign.

Meanwhile, Ashiru has been picked as the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by Ijebu/Remo, Governorship Agenda Elders.
