Tambuwal of Sokoto State has sacked his Commissioner
for Information, Bello Muhammad-Goronyo.
The Director-General, Media and Public Relations of the governor, Malam Abubakar Shekara, disclosed this on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019. He said;
“Gov. Aminu Tambuwal has relieved Barrister Bello Goronyo of his appointment as Commissioner for Information with immediate effect. The Permanent Secretary has been directed to take over the affairs of the Ministry immediately.”
We gathered that the commissioner was relieved of his duty over alleged sabotaging of the state government’s efforts on its laudable programmes and activities.
Be that as it may, Goronyo had on Tuesday evening dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Goronyo before now, was the Chairman, Publicity and Media Committee of PDP Governorship Campaign Council in Sokoto State. He announced his defection at APC campaign rally in Wamakko.
