Baba is a nationalist with a great passion to make the country develop, if we have many people in this country who have vision like Chief Bisi Akande, I think the country will be better, so seeing him attaining 75years, it is a great privilege from God and I pray that God will continue to bless him with good health, I wish him many happy returns.

You have continued to attract attention in Edo State, seeing the kind of development you have brought to the state. What is the driving force to all these?

The driving force is willingness to work and to make things happen, there are two things in place; one is determination and the other is the spirit to make things work. When we came in, the first time, I made a promise which some people particularly, the opposition then believed it would never work because they were there for eight years and nothing was done, so when I came in; it seems impossible but inside me, I know it will work. So, when we started, I gave them my words and I called on all my executives and people that worked with me that I am not expecting anything less and they worked with my vision, some of them that did not meet up to expectation, I replaced them; so this was the policy I put in place. In my second term, I also reiterated that the second term will stand as the completion of projects and as God will have it, we completed all the projects we started in our first term in office, so that is the result of what people are now seeing in Edo State. There is no hidden power about development in Edo State but our determination to make things work and bring development to the state.

The issue of successor plan, what are you doing to handover to a credible person that will maintain all those legacies you have put in place in Edo State?

Well, I believe that when the time comes, the party will present a credible candidate, though there are committed people in our government, it also depends on the party, but whatever the case may be, we will surely handover to a credible candidate because we know that our government is focused and it is only a focused person that can continue the good work.
