Popular music television channel,  MTV Base, has joined the broadcast stations showing Globacom-sponsored Dance with Peter Reality TV show currently ruling the airwaves.
According to information made available by Globacom in Lagos, MTV Base will broadcast the show on Sundays from  6p.m. to 7 p.m. starting from Sunday,  October 3.
The station thus joins Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Africa Magic which are already running the programme. While Africa Magic Urban (Channel 153 on DSTV) airs the show on Saturdays  from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.,  AIT broadcasts it every Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The first episode of the programme was broadcast last weekend and showed  the highlights of the auditions held in Abuja, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana.
Globacom disclosed that the second episode showing this weekend would feature Port Harcourt and Benin auditions. The company said it would be a highly entertaining and action-packed hour, showing the battle by hundreds of dancers to convince the judges, Peter Okoye, Kafayat Shafau Ameh, popularly known as Kaffy, and Don Flexx, that they have what it takes to make the finals of the competition.
Viewers would also be entertained by the amusing but spirited efforts by the three judges of the show to woo the best talents to join their respective teams.
One such amazing talent, Globacom disclosed, was a lady contestant from Port Harcourt who displayed such sophisticated dance steps and incredible stunts that left even Kaffy, a Guinness Book record holder for dance, in awe. Kaffy confessed she was stunned by the lady’s talent. Viewers will get to see who she finally chose as mentor.
The winner of the show will win a brand new Toyota RAV 4 sports utility vehicle, N3million cash prize and the rare opportunity of featuring in PSquare’s next music video. The first and second runners-up will receive a Honda Civic car with N2million and a Kia Rio car with N1million respectively.
