Billionaire businesswoman and Group Executive Vice-Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited, Folorunso Alakija has announced her donation of N1 billion to fight the widespread of the ravaging disease, COVID-19 in Nigeria.

A statement by Famfa Oil, states; “Mr. and Mrs. Modupe and Folorunso Alakija through Famfa Oil pledge N1 billion Naira to support Nigeria’s fight against COVID-19.”

“Famfa Oil Limited, one of the leading indigenous exploration and production oil companies in Nigeria, announced its contribution of N1 billion to support Nigeria’s fight against COVID-19.”

• African Center of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases N50,000,000 (Fifty Million Naira)
• Medical Workers on the Frontline in Abuja N100,000,000 (One Hundred Million Naira)
• Supply of medical equipment to relevant organisations N245,000,000 (Two Hundred and Forty Five Million)
• Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust N5,000,000 (Five Million Naira)

“We will work with these organizations to determine their specific requirements in the furtherance of our collective fight against Covid-19. We will also oversee the procurement of these products and facilities to ensure that our contribution is deployed in the most impactful way.”
