First Bank of Nigeria Limited has empowered young food entrepreneurs. This is in the bank’s commitment to helping young entrepreneurs in the food and agriculture sectors to grow.

The financial institution recently organised a food and drink fair in partnership with Eventful Limited in Lagos, creating an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products. The event witnessed entrepreneurs and customers who came in with their relatives to enjoy and relax at the occasion.

There were other activities during the event to make it more lively, such as cooking competition and distribution of freebies.

Speaking at the event, the Convener and Chief Executive Officer of Eventful Limited, Mrs. Yewande Zaccheaus said; “The programme is organised to provide a platform for entrepreneurs in the food and agriculture space to promote their products.”

“It gives them the opportunity to come face to face with their target market, the people who are interested in their product. And as an event planner, it gives us the opportunity to showcase our talent in organising events. It is a win-win event; we are able to make the whole of Lagos come to the event.”

“The annual programme provides an opportunity, especially for the emerging entrepreneurs who probably did not have stores, but are doing online retail to meet with those who needed their products.”
