Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti, (Olufemi Anikulapo Kuti) is set to perform at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Organising Committee of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) revealed that the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s son will be performing at the opening ceremony of the competition on Friday, June 21st, 2019.
AFCON in a post on Twitter confirmed that Femi Kuti will perform the official song for the 2019 AFCON alongside Hakim and Dobet Gnahore from Egypt and Ivory Coast respectively.
It also says that Femi Kuti will perform in English, while Hakim and Dobet Gnahore will perform in Arabic and French respectively.
