Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode’s dirty secret has been exposed by the current Minister of Transport, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.

“Former Governor Peter Odili’s government gave Femi Fani Kayode, former minister of Aviation N2billion to fix the run way of Port Harcourt airport and it is nowhere in the record of the Aviation Ministry, I’m the minister of transportation, I have that record, it is not there, he went away with the N2billion.”

“I am not making an allegation, this is a statement of fact, I am the minister for transportation, Dr. Peter Odili and I were the governors of Rivers state, in writing, the cabinet approved and handed over N2billion to Femi Kayode to fix the runway at the Port-Harcourt airport that was close for two years and Femi Fani-Kayode left with the money.”

“Is that the kind of character I will speak to, we are not of the same level. I promise to make the facts available to journalists for people to see that there is no evidence anywhere in the ministry of transportation to show that N2billion was transferred from the Rivers state government to Aviation to fix the airport. The man left with the money.”
