FCMB Gets New Acting Managing Director

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has appointed Mrs. Yemisi Edun as the acting Managing Director of the bank.

Yemisi will be replacing the embattled Adam Nuru, who has proceeded on a voluntary leave to ensure sanctity in the bank’s investigation of charges against him.

Yemisi Edun has been named as Acting Managing Director by the Management and Board of FCMB subject to regulatory approvals.

A source in the bank squealed to us that the decision to appoint Yemisi Edun was taken in a bid to fill the void left by the former Managing Director, Adam Nuru.

For those who don’t know, Yemisi Edun was the immediate past Chief Financial Officer of the Bank, a role she held after serving in various capacities in the bank since joining in 2000.

Yemisi is an expert in the banking industry with over 30years of experience. She joined the bank from Akintola Williams Deloitte.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife and a Master’s degree in International Accounting and Finance from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a CFA® Charter holder. She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers; an Associate Member of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; a Member of Information Systems Audit and Control, U.S.A; and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
