Former Lagos State governor and Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola has finally bared his mind on the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

He said: “When former Oyo State governor, Rasheed Ladoja was removed as governor by an apparently illegal impeachment process, it was Tinubu who took up the legal battle, despite the fact that Ladoja was an opposition governor. I was saving this story for my memoirs, but let me reveal it now.”

“Sundays were my day off, for football. One Sunday, I got a call from Tinubu: Tunde, I’m sorry, I need you. Yemi (current VP, then Lagos AG) is away.”

“Bring your legal books, I need you to research something for me. Are we just going to fold our arms and let a governor be impeached?”

“Tinubu didn’t care that he was in opposition. It was in Bourdillon that we prepared the Court documents, we got a lawyer to go to Ibadan at 4am to file the case; it was that case that went all the way to the Supreme Court, that allowed Ladoja to get back his seat.”
