Former Nigerian goalkeeper and Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, Joe Erico is dead.

His demise was confirmed by Super Eagles Media Officer, Babafemi Raji on Thursday, January 21st, 2021.

Joe Erico a.k.a Jogo Bonito was a former Super Eagles goalkeeper and Assistant Coach.

He was also a goalkeeper for Electricity Connectors of Nigeria (ECN) and Green Eagles of Nigeria. He also coached Julius Berger FC a.k.a Adewale Bridge Boys.

Joe Erico alongside late coaches Shuaibu Amodu and Stephen Keshi qualified the Super Eagles for the 2002 Korea/Japan World Cup.
