Former Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State is in hot soup as his successor, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle has vowed to recover over N90 billion from him. The money was allegedly diverted through inflation of contracts.

The governor during the presentation of the rim report from the state’s projects verification committee said;

“I will make sure that the diverted funds are returned to the state government treasury. I must implement the committee’s report to ensure that all those involved in the scandal were brought to justice.”
