Ex-Governor Ihedioha Begs

Former Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State has apologised to Igbo people over his comment at the 2022 New Yam festival ceremony of Mbaise People in Ghana, saying that people who are supporting Peter Obi are saboteurs.

He said: “The word ‘saboteur’ I used during my speech was not referred to the supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate but to my kinsmen who I said are PDP members and were sabotaging the efforts of my party to reclaim power in Imo State in 2024.”

“I am sorry, it is not in my character to be rude, arrogant, or to use uncultured words on people whom I do not share the same political beliefs with.”
