Ex-Governor Saminu Turaki of Jigawa State has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials. Sources said that his arrest is in connection with mismanagement of Jigawa State’s money while he was governor of Jigawa State.

Insiders at EFCC squealed to us that the former governor is in EFCC’s custody and he has been evading court appearance for his prosecution following which the court issued an arrest warrant. They added that he won’t be released until the date of the next court sitting when he’ll be taken to court.
