Former governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda is in hot soup. The banker turned politician has been dragged before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N6billion fraud by the present government of Bauchi State.
The Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Bello Illelah personally signed the petition sent by the state government to the EFCC. The petition revealed that the former governor spent N6billion on security votes for five years as governor.
The Bauchi State Government stated the former governor spent the sum of N2,191,248,744.71 meant for health, education, rural development projects in 20 local government areas on security and these projects were never executed by the former governor.
Now, the Bauchi State Government wants the EFCC to probe and prosecute the former governor for alleged fraud and financial recklessness.
