Former Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) like a bad habit.

Suswam made the announcement in a resignation letter dated February 4, addressed to the Chairman of the Mbagber Council Ward in Logo Local Government Area. He cited the party’s ongoing internal crises as the reason for his decision.
In the letter, he stated: “I consider it honorable and necessary to step aside while wishing the party well should it one day find the courage and consensus to resolve its long-standing issues.”
Suswam did not disclose which political party he intends to join next. However, reports indicate that he has aligned himself with a coalition of opposition leaders that adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their platform for contesting the upcoming elections.
