Hon. Caleb Ani, the youthful, newly-elected Executive Chairman of the Enugu South LGA, recently received the current Enugu State Under -15 table tennis gold medalists, on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, in his office at the Enugu South LGA Council Headquarters, Uwani, Enugu.

The male and female Under -15 champions, who both live in the Enugu South area, Master Eberechukwu Desbordes and Miss Wisdom Igboka, used the occasion to present their gold medals, which they won at the recently -concluded Enugu State Under -15 Youth Games, held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, to the Enugu South LGA Mayor. However, Miss Igboka was not physically present, as she had school examinations on that same day. Master Desbordes, therefore, presented both gold medals to the Executive Chairman.

Also in the delegation were David Desbordes, the Secretary, Enugu State Table Tennis Association, ENTTA for short; Lawrence Okafor, ENTTA Ex-Officio Board Member, and the Assistant Treasurer, West, Enugu State PDP EXCO, and Mrs. B.I. Nwatu, Head, Social Welfare Department, Enugu South LGA.

Responding, Hon. Caleb Ani warmly congratulated the champions and wished them well in their future endeavours. He also assured those present of his administration’s firm commitment to encourage and develop the youth in the Council Area.
