Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa has issued a strong warning to all staff of the commission.

He said; “The rule says you must be in the office by 8am and close by 5pm if you have no pending work.”

“But it is unacceptable for you to come in by 9 am, close by 3 pm, and expect to earn a full salary,”

“My mission is not to undo what had been done by my predecessors but to improve the fortunes of the commission.”

“All workers are important in the fight against corruption. I urge all the staff to come up with fresh ideas.”

“I promise to prioritize welfare and improve on the application of digital technology and intelligence. The Directorate of Intelligence will soon be created.”

“I promise insurance cover to mitigate the dangers staff are exposed to in the discharge of their duties.”
