Nollywood star, Desmond Elliot who is vying for a seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Tuesday 2nd December, 2014 emerged winner at the primary election of the All Progressive Congress (APC). We gathered the Nollywood star defeated his opponent, Mr. Kabiru Lawal in grand style.
Desmond, having emerged victorious at the primary election will be representing Surulere Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), 2015 if he wins the general election.
Contrarily, Kenny Saint Brown (KSB) better known as Kenny Saint Best Ogungbe who also contested in the primaries to represent Ikeja Constituency unfortunately was not as lucky as her colleague in the entertainment industry. KSB we gathered lost out to Mr. Folajimi Mohammed, son of the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
We gathered from a reliable source that Desmond has garnered a lot of supports and endorsement from the people in his constituency as a result of his humanitarian service. We were informed that Desmond gave scholarship to youths in his constituency to study at the Open University. Sources further revealed he has provided free health insurance for the elderly and empowerment programmes for the widows and single mothers among others.
