The new speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevowre is in hot soup. The lawmaker has been accused of bribing Urhobo traditional rulers in a bid to secure his Delta Central Senatorial ambition.
Those accusing him are saying that he has spent millions of naira on his senatorial ambition at this critical time when Delta State government is so broke that salaries are not paid and pensioners are crying for their pension.
Insiders squealed that the speaker had a closed door meeting with the traditional rulers on 24th June, 2017 and spent about N10 million to support kola nut for the traditional rulers.
That is not all, we were told that Governor Okowa of Delta State is also supporting the senatorial ambition of the speaker.
