Chrisland Schools across Lagos State have been shutdown by the state government.

Lagos State Government in a statement on Monday, April 18th, 2022 said:

“The attention of the Lagos State Government has been drawn to the alleged sexual violence case involving students of Chrisland Schools which occurred in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.”

“It is pertinent to note that all allegations are being investigated by the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including the Ministry of Education, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Ministry of Justice and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, whilst the criminal allegations have been escalated to the Commissioner of Police.”

“In view of the allegations, we are committed to ensuring that adequate medical and pscyho-social support is provided.”

“This is to reassure members of the public of the State Government’s commitment to safety and child protection, especially in ensuring that all child-centred institutions within the state, formulate and implement policies and systems that are compliant with the Executive Order (NO.EO/AA08 of 2016), Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Program.”

“We also use this medium to remind the general public that any person who engages in any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a child, commits an offence and is liable to a custodial sentence of 14 years. This includes “producing, distributing, receiving, or possessing an image of child pornography”.

“In the meantime, all Chrisland Schools within Lagos State are hereby closed, pending further investigations.”

Besides, Made Men Music Group (MMMG) boss, Ubi Franklin recently took to his Twitter page and wrote:

He said: “Just got off the phone with a friend of mine. His 10 year old daughter was selected to represent her school at the World School Games in Dubai.”

“His daughter was raped by fellow students, video tapped and posted on Instagram and the school concealed it for a month.”

“He found out on his own when another parent called his wife and showed his wife the video of his 10 year old daughter being circulated on Instagram.”

“I have spent the last 1hour listening to confessional statements by some teachers and I am begging this should rather be a dream.”

“This school took the girl from her parents that they wanted to conduct a Covid test and the school rather took the girl for a pregnancy test.”

“As we speak the girl has been SUSPENDED from the school. Some things don’t make sense at all.”

“Just arrived her house and looking at her father talk is heartbreaking.”

“Just left my friends residence, you will weep if you see my friend and his Wife.”

“How can Chrisland school do this? It took you a month to tell her parents?”

“Sent her a suspension letter after her family started raging. This is cruel and disgusting.”

“The boys took her charger and asked her to come to their room and collect her charger.”

“According to her mum, the girl said when she got there, they told her to pick up her charger from the bathroom and they gave her something to drink and they started on her.”

“What is misleading? A child was asked to come to collect her charger from the boys room, what does that say? She was tricked to come there and was given something to drink.”

“Now the school failed by concealing information from her parents for a month.”
