On Friday, May 27th 2016, Chief Gordian Ikebuilo (Ichie Okenyi) of Enugwuaja village of Ichi, Ekwusigo L.G.A, Anambra was laid to rest in his country home after a requiem mass at All Saints Anglican Church Ichi. At time of his passage, he was the oldest man in Ichi town. Ichie Okenyi in his lifetime was a successful and well-travelled businessman, he sat on board of many companies including Cutix Cables Plc. As a staunch Christian of Anglican faith, Chief Ikebuilo was a role model in his community, he was a foundation member of St. James Anglican church and all Saint Anglican Church both in Umuezeabu and Enugwuaja villages in Ichi town. His rich knowledge of the Holy book endeared him to become a member of Bible Society of Nigeria. He is survived by his son, Ugochukwu Ikebuilo (Ugo Echu-Echu) 8 beautiful happily married daughters, many accomplished and successful in laws including Prince Okey Ubachukwu and Chief (Sir) Emma Bishop Okonkwo, OFR, (Ikenga Ichi) Chairman Ekulo Group of Companies. It might be recalled that one of his grandsons, Chinedu Ubachukwu was the 11th winner of Nigeria’s longest running reality TV show, the popular Gulder Ultimate search in 2014.
