Kashamu’s Fresh Plot Against PDP Exposed

The Ogun State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele has berated a member of the party in the State, Mr Segun Seriki and his group for threatening to obtain a court injunction against the conduct of the Special Non Elective National Convention of the party scheduled to hold on Saturday August 12, 2017 in Abuja.

Mr. Segun Seriki, a member of Senator Buruji Kasham’s faction of the PDP in Ogun State while on a national television programme on Monday 7th August, 2017 evening had said the Buruji Kashamu group will approach the court to obtain an injunction to stop the Special Convention being organized by the Sen. In a press statement issued by the Ogun State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Malik Ibitoye on behalf of Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, the party viewed the threat as anarchical and retrogressive.

“Segun Seriki is an unrepentant anarchist whose sole agenda is to be a kill joy. Instead of joining hands with other well-meaning party members to rebuild the party, he and his lord, Kasamu Buruji have continued to device means of throwing our party into confusion. Since they lost at the Supreme Court, these political merchants have been crying, pitiably like babies and I really sympathize with them over this self-inflicted political calamity they brought upon themselves.”

“We know their antics and we are prepared for them. The era of window shopping for court injunctions and judgments is gone forever. They can go anywhere in the land or outside Nigeria, we are confident that the judiciary will not be coerced into giving out frivolous injunctions. We believe in our judicial system and everybody is watching.”

The party chairman thereafter congratulated all delegates in Ogun State for the National Convention while wishing them safe journey to and return from Abuja.
