Senator Buruji Kashamu has ordered the arrest of a blogger, Adedeji Babington Ashaye for saying that he is an allegedly wanted man in the United States of America for drug related offences on a whatsApp group chat.

The blogger was said to have been detained on the orders of the politician recently after honouring ‎police invitation to the Ogun State Police Headquarters at Eleweran in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

‎Attempts by his lawyer to secure a bail for the blogger failed. Insiders at the police headquarters revealed that the senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District had allegedly left strict instruction that the young man should be remanded in police custody.
