Gospel Singer, Bunmi Ojumi Is Dead

Popular gospel singer, Omije Ojumi (Bunmi Akinnaanu) is dead.

She died on Monday, January 12, 2026, at a hospital in Lagos after a protracted severe leg ailment.

Her colleague, Ayo Melody announced her death on Tuesday via a brief statement shared on Instagram on behalf of the family.

The statement reads: “With great sadness, we announce the passing of Evangelist Olubunmi Akinnaanu Adeoye, popularly known as Omije Ojumi. She passed away on January 12, 2026, at a Lagos hospital, Nigeria. May God grant her eternal rest.”

For those who don’t now, Omije Ojumi had been battling a severe leg ailment before she died. Months before her death, she had publicly begged for prayers and divine healing.

Besides, a video that circulated online sometimes last year showed her at G.F. David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, where she was seen seated with the affected leg stretched out on a chair while a pastor prayed for her.
