Member of the House of Representatives from Ogun State, Honorable Abiodun Isiak Akinlade in his bid to vie for the next governorship election in the Gateway state, Ogun, may have perfected plans to dump All Progressive Congress (APC) and move back to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) where he feels he can actualize his governorship ambition.
Recently, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade the lawmaker representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, defected from the APC for the PDP, on the floor of the House.
Sources, however, revealed that Akinlade might not have his plan played out as expected because of former speaker of House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, who is said to have started his home work towards contesting the next governorship election.
Dimeji, we learnt some weeks ago held a meeting with some stakeholders in Ilaro and it’s believed it’s the beginning of his consultation. It was said that Dimeji’s bigger image and popularity will win the ticket for him. On the other side, the chairman, House Committee on Technology, Akinlade, is said to have been able to garner the support of PDP stalwarts like former Ogun PDP chairman, Chief Joju Fadairo and a few others.
