Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has lambasted the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Atiku said: “Peter Obi was in a rush to be President. Do you know why I say he was in rush?”
“When the campaign and our PDP governors sat down and said they must produce the next President, Vice President and Chief of Staff amongst them, Peter Obi got scared and left.”
“I didn’t get scared. I stood up against the governors and I fought them and won the primaries, so if he was there, nothing could have stopped him from becoming my running mate.”
“It is a fact that Peter Obi took our votes from the South East and South-South, but that wouldn’t make him President – you need votes from everywhere.”
“He is welcome to dialogue with the PDP on forming an alliance.”
