One of the wives of the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland and vice president, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, Arisekola Alao, Alhaja Jelilat is dead. She was 63.

Family source confirmed on Wednesday morning that the late Jelilat died in a car crash, while she was on her way to Ilorin, Kwara State.

Predictably, the sudden death of Alhaja Jelilat, exactly two weeks after that of her husband, and few days after his burial, has thrown the entire Arisekola’s household into another round of mourning.

The late Jelilat is the mother of Abdullahi Arisekola, the oil magnate currently standing trial in connection with the oil subsidy scam.
Her remains will be buried later today in Abdullahi’s residence in Apata, Ibadan.
It will be recalled that in 2013, the late Arisekola-Alao had lost his first wife Alhaja Risikat Olaronke Alao, who died after a brief illness.
