The political fortunes of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ogun State received a boost recently when a group, Arewa Youth Forum endorsed not only the gubernatorial candidate of the party but also other candidates flying the flag of the party in the fast approaching general elections.
Declaring their support for the party at a press conference held at Iwe Irohin House, Abeokuta on Friday 20th of March, the chairman of the forum in the presence of Hundreds of members, Prince Hadi Sanni made it known it is a result of their respect and absolute support of the Party’s leader, Chief Olusegun Osoba.
According to him” with utmost humility and all sense of responsibility, the entire Arewa Community which encompasses all Northerners in Ogun State, after an adequate consultation and diplomatic deliberation we have finally reach an unanimous conciliation of endorsing the leadership structure of Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the forthcoming election”
Stating further reasons they pitch their tent with Osoba led SDP, Sanni said the former governor was the elected governor to appoint an Hausa man in his cabinet.
While fielding questions from journalists, Sanni informed the group shall also support any presidential candidate of Chief Osoba.
