The General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman has commended Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki for promising to create 200,000 jobs just as he emphasized the need for human capital development and welfare.
Apostle Suleiman who hosted Governor Obaseki during the Sunday Service at his church in Auchi noted that the physical infrastructure development in the state should form part of the change mantra adding that when God chooses a man, he has to choose the right team to work with.
The cleric who advised the governor to demonstrate leadership by carrying everybody along whether they voted for him or not said that it was wrong for people to always ask politicians for money rather than development.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Philip Shaibu, the Chief of Staff, Mr. Taiwo Akerele among other dignitaries, the governor told the congregation that he had come to thank them for their support and also to fulfil his promise made during the electioneering campaign that if elected, he would return to thank them.
Governor Obaseki assured the state civil and public service of promotion, evaluation, training and total reforms to reposition the workforce for efficient and effective service delivery, adding that his administration will focus on human capital building programmes that will also be carried out alongside his campaign promise of job creation for the unemployed in the state particularly the youths and women.
While thanking God for what He has been doing in the state, he urged the congregation to sustain their support with prayers as his administration will continue to count on them.
