The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje is confident that the party will take over Rivers State very soon.

Ganduje’s statement is coming after the 2023 governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in Rivers State, Dawari Ibietela George, officially returned to the APC.

Ganduje said: “Rivers State will be completely APC. You are now equal members with every other member of the party. We are bent on widening democracy in the country.”

“I assure that a party structure will be set up in Rivers State to create a platform for him and other members returning back to the party to secure the state from the opposition.”

“You are now equal members with other members of the party.”

For those who don’t know, Rivers State is being governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under Governor Sim Fubara.

Meanwhile, Fubara and Wike are engrossed in political war over who controls the party’s structure in the state.

Interestingly, Nyesom Wike now serves as Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister under the APC-led government.
