Former Senator Andy Uba is facing possible arrest after the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, asked a Federal High Court in Abuja to issue a bench warrant against him over an alleged ₦400 million job scam.

Uba, accused of conspiring with others in 2022 to defraud a businessman under the guise of securing an NDDC appointment, has repeatedly failed to appear in court, citing ill health abroad.

Justice Mohammed Umar, angered by his absence, warned that Uba must face trial and adjourned the case to October 28, 2025, stressing that a bench warrant will be issued if he fails to appear.
