The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III is dead.

The palace officials squealed that he died in the late hours of Friday, April 22nd, 2022. He was 83.

According to sources the Alaafin died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Sources said his remains arrived Idi-Igba, Oyo town early morning of Saturday and corpse was received by the first son and other children.

It is interesting to know that Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III was the longest-reigning Alaafin. He ruled for 52 years before he died.
