Movida Nite Club boss, Akeem Sodeinde was buried in Ikoyi Cemetery on Friday morning, May 15th 2015. Insiders said there was a candle light vigil for him on Thursday May 14th somewhere around Oniru Estate, Lagos and also a brief lying in state for family members and friends to pay their last respect at a popular event centre on the Lagos Island on Friday morning.
Insiders added that thereafter his remains was moved to Ikoyi Cemetery by family and friends and he was buried amid tears.
It’s interesting to note that Akeem changed the face of nite clubbing in Lagos and has an Abeokuta father and Rivers State mother. He died on Sunday May 10, 2015 after suffering from kidney and diabetics related illness. Before his death, he was already living on one kidney. Akeem, the king of nite clubbing in Lagos would be dearly missed by all the big casinos and gamblers in Lagos because he was one of their biggest customers and member. He was said to have spent N50million to gamble in one night.
