Group Managing Director of Afromedia Plc., Mr. Akin Olopade is in hot soup. Shareholders of the company have dragged him before Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) for giving N1million pounds cash to his friend and director of Afromedia Plc. without the board approval.

Also, the shareholders want the GMD punished for giving the sums of N3.5million pounds, N514million, 2,102million pounds to the same friend under the pretext of phony investment in the UK and nothing came out of it.

Besides, workers of the company are also very bitter with the GMD for owing them salaries, saying the company has no money, yet he gave millions of pound sterling to his friend to go to the UK. The matter has equally been reported to the EFCC.
