Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu has been lambasted by his kinsmen in Oyo State…

In a statement signed by the caretaker chairmen of the Iwa LCDA, Sulaimon Ajani, and Oorelope council area, Okunlade Samuel, on behalf of others, the minister was accused of lying about the state of the party in the state.

“We, the chairmen of the 10 local governments in Oke-Ogun, where Adebayo Shittu hails from, have watched with bewilderment the unguarded utterances and negative tendencies of the minister in unnecessarily opposing the governor and the progress of the party.”

“We would not have taken issue with the minister over his baseless and apparently false claim that the governor has been creating divisions in the Oyo APC and destroying the party, but there is the need to set the record straight so that the national leadership of the party will know that it is the minister that has been disrupting the peace in the party with his actions and utterances.”

“There is also the need to caution the minister so that he would not disgrace Oke-Ogun with his subversive and anti-government tendencies, which are fuelled by his misplaced ambition to become governor even before the Independent National Electoral Commission declares the field open for the process.”
