Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta has revealed to Nigerians why he did not attend the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) despite being nominated in one of the award categories.
He said: “I can’t pray for something I am not interested in. Whenever I am interested to go for AMVCA, I will make a film and submit that film.”
“So that I can be rated, so that they can check if I deserve the award or not. But I have not given them any film to nominate me from.”
The actor added; “I’m not interested in the award.”
This came after the interview asked:
“Will you say you are not rated at your job? When you get home, pray that you should win AMVCA too.”
For those who don’t know, Ibrahim Chatta was nominated for Best Lead Actor for his role in House of GAA. But he lost the award to fellow actor, Femi Adebayo, who starred in Seven Doors.
