Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari’s wife on Monday, March 14th, 2022 collapsed at the Federal High Court in Abuja

She fainted shortly after the trial judge, Emeka Nwite adjourned the criminal matter for ruling on the bail application brought by Kyari and his co-defendants.

She slumped while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) were leading her husband and others out of the courtroom.

She was immediately carried and rushed into one of the offices at the court by some security operatives and lawyers.

Sources said she is asthmatic and was resuscitated after about 40 minutes.

For those who don’t know, Abba Kyari and other members of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) were on March 7, 2022 arraigned.

Others are Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne two alleged drug traffickers who were arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

In the charge marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, the agency accused the defendants of conspiracy, obstruction and dealing in cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms.
