Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of Cowbell milk, has given further insights into the registration guidelines as public and private secondary schools across the country have intensified registering their best JSS 3 and SSS 2 candidates for the 2019 Cowbellpedia Senior Secondary Mathematics Television Quiz Show. This is to beat the deadline of Sunday, February 3, 2019 set for registration.
The Marketing Manager of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, Abiodun Ayodeji reiterated to newsmen in Lagos that registration is strictly online, as it has been the practice in the last two years.
He emphasised that registration is absolutely free on the website, www.cowbellpedia.ng, with each school entitled to put forward five candidates who must be between 10 and 18 years old for each of the junior and senior categories.
Giving more details about the registration process, Ayodeji said that on the website, the candidate or the school’s representative should click on the link ‘Register your school’, fill the form and submit.
“Ensure that you fill all the required fields and an email will be sent to the school and primary contact email address provided when filling the form,” he further said, adding that the link in the email received would be used to verify the email address.
“On successful login, click on ‘Add Candidates’ under ‘Candidate Management’, fill in the candidate’s information, upload the candidate’s picture and click the ‘Save Draft’ button. Save the draft information for five (5) candidates for each category before you submit their registration,” the Marketing Manager explained.
He stated further that when all the data had been completed for all the candidates (a maximum of five per category), the “Register” button should be clicked to complete the registration process.
“A confirmation slip will be generated to download and will also be mailed to the school, candidate or parent/guardian’s email address. Print the confirmation slip and have it stamped and signed by the school principal. The confirmation slip will be required for admitting candidates at the examination venue,” he explained.
As part of the brand’s deliberate effort in encouraging Girl Child interest in STEM courses, Ayodeji reiterated the company’s appeal to mixed secondary schools to nominate a minimum of two female students for each category
All the candidates with confirmation slips, according to him, would sit for the Stage 1 Qualifying Written Examination at their designated centres nationwide on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
In his remarks at the recent flag-off of the competition, the Managing Director of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, Anders Einarsson had announced that winners in both categories would receive N2 million each and an all-expense paid educational excursion outside the country.
The first and second runners-up in each category will be rewarded with N1.5 million and N1 million respectively.
Teachers of the first prize winners will win N500,000, while those of the first and second runners-up will receive N400,000 and N300,000 respectively.
