Nigerian songstress and first African female to win the Best African Act Award at the 2018 MTV EMAs, Tiwa Savage is ‘in for it’ as her male colleague, Danny Young has accused her of stealing his song.
The famous Omo Lepa crooner has taken to the Instagram to release a video where he expressed his disappointment at the rave of the moment, Tiwa Savage.
He said; “I have been getting a lot of messages from my fans here and there, calling my attention to a content going on online saying that Tiwa Savage stole a verse in my 2009/18 song titled ‘Oju Tiwon’.”
“Actually I listened to the song today because I didn’t really have the time to listen to it, but when I did I became very disappointed because for an aninternatioinal atriste like Tiwa Savage to go ahead and use my content without my proper approval or right to use the lyrics of that song is a total disrespect.”
“I respect all my colleagues especially the female ones but I will not take this from anyone.”
He also wrote via his Instagram page; “I never knew I would be a victim of intellectual property theft until now. The worst pain is that my song was stolen by Tiwa savage who happens to be one of my favorite female artiste.”
