Tiwa Savage Beats Davido

Famous singer, Tiwa Savage has won the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMAs) in the Best African Act category, making history as the first Nigerian female artist to win the award.

The sizzling musician beats her Nigerian counterpart, Davido and other African top musicians; Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DRC), Nyashinski (Kenya), and Shekinah (South Africa) to win the highly contested award that was held on the night of Sunday, November 4th, 2018 at the Bizkaia Arena, Bilbao, Spain.

Elated Tiwa who could only but express her excitement, said; “I’m just a girl from Nigeria living my dreams. I’m so thankful to everyone that’s supported my journey so far, especially my fans. Thank you MTV!”

But the highlight of the night was that of American artiste, Camila Cabello who stole the spotlight with four awards as the biggest winner at the event.
