What People Don’t Know About New CBN Deputy Governor, Aishah Ahmad

The new Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Deputy Governor, Aishah Ahmad has been a Banking Executive and an Investment Adviser across Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Consulting and Financial Advisory for the past 20years.

Before her appointment, she was the Executive Director, Retail Banking at Diamond Bank Plc and she is 41years old. She is the chairperson of the Executive Council of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ). The mother of two sons is from Niger State and married to Retired Brigadier-General Abdallah A. Ahmad.

She has worked at NAL Bank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc and Zenith Bank Plc. She is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Associations.

She holds an MSc in Finance and Management from the Cranfield School of Management in the UK, an MBA from the University of Lagos and a graduate degree in accounting from the University of Abuja.
